FAQs

Different pets have different sensitivities just like human beings. Although, we do use needles to perform dry acupuncture these needles tend to be very thin, and many pets do not have much of a reaction. Some reaction is normal, and is referred to as the De Qi response (mild/quick twitch of the skin)

Dry acupuncture at first is used on a weekly basis for 4 weeks, and then eventually can be used less as your pet responds to the therapy, and modalities used. It usually takes around 4 weeks to see a difference, or response from your pet.
-
Normally after an acupuncture treatment, a pet will want to take a nap which is very normal. A lot of times pets will get so relaxed they will take a short nap during their acupuncture treatment.

Acupuncture can absolutely be used along with any medications your pet is currently taking. Depending on the medical condition that is being treating we may or may not use specific acupuncture points.
